Poached Pinot Figs

Patty's Pinot Closet

Ingredients:
8   figs
8 halved almonds, blanched
4 ounces Pinot Noir
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp fig balsamic vinegar
Pitcher   heavy cream

Stuff figs with halves of blanched almonds. In the top pan, or blazer, of a chafing dish heat Pinot Noir with sugar and fig balsamic vinegar. When hot, add the figs. Cover and cook for 8 minutes. Serve with the pitcher of heavy cream.
